Questions to Ask When Booking a Window Cleaning Service

First time booking any service can be tricky. You can skip a lot of details if you are unsure on what you need or what you can get. Of course, our operators will fully explain to you every aspect, but it would be beneficial for you to know what to ask. You will also look like a veteran client who is used of getting all the discounts this way. So without further ado, here are the FAQ experienced clients usually ask when ordering a window cleaner:

Q1: Are you insured?

It is very important that anyone who is officially doing work at your home be insured. Everything can happen and having insurance means no side would lose money if the worst case scenario happens. You most definitely want your window cleaning provider to be insured and yes, we totally are.

Q2: Are you using traditional cleaning or do you clean with water fed pole systems?

The traditional way is using a rubber squeegee and manual labour. It requires less tools so it is better for small places and easily reachable windows. The water fed pole gives a better wash, lets the cleaner reach even the third floor from the ground and he can clean your frames and sills as well (as long as they are not wooden). It is up for you to decide which would be better for your home.

Q3: What time of day can you clean my home/office?

It is self-explanatory. You should book the window cleaners at the most convenient time for you, if of course they take bookings at that time.

Q4: Do I have to do anything before you come?

There may be a need of some preparations. Some furniture moved or providing access to a particular window. It is better to ask in advance. This way you can do whatever is needed of you before the cleaners come and the whole process will be quicker.

Q5: Who do I contact if I want something extra done or if I change or cancel my cleaning?

It is very important to know who is accountable for the billing. The information will tell you who to contact if you have something extra in mind but it will also tell you who doesn’t have a right to charge you extra or simply change the price.

Q6: Are there any other charges and will VAT be added separately?

In the end of your phone call, you would have negotiated a certain price. If the information you gave was somehow misleading or incorrect, the price can be changed according to the real properties of the job, but most times the price you receive on the phone should be final. By asking if there is VAT added or are there any additional charges you insure yourself there won’t be any unexpected expenditures.
